Fractionation - Long,
medium, and short length fibers are separated. Then the
fibers best suited for smoothness, printability, and
appearance are selected for the top ply. The process results
in exceptionally uniform printability and appearance.
Dispersion -
stickies and Wax contaminants which might be
present
in the top ply are
broken up and dispersed. This final
cleaning step insures the cleanest, most uniform sheet
possible.
Two fourdriniers - The
most proven high performance forming process is used. Each
ply of the sheet is separately formed on its own fourdrinier
forming section resulting in the best strength and
uniformity possible.
High PLI Pressing - The
linerboard machine 1st press is loaded to 1600
pounds per lineal
inch (PLI) and the 2nd press
to 2400 PLI. The high pressures increase sheet strength
through improved fiber bonding.

Hot Press - An additional
press is installed in the dryer section especially to create
gloss
and smoothness. This press irons out press marks
and molds fibers to an optically smooth
surface. This
results in an extra smooth and glossy sheet which is highly
printable and distinctively different from most recycled
linerboards produced today.
3" Cross Direction Moisture
Control - The state of the art in cross direction
moisture
control results in sheet moisture uniformity
which exceeds the requirements of the most demanding
corrugators.

Mill-wide DCS control -
Computer linked sensors provide accurate information and
consistent, reliable control of the process.
Measurex Paper Machine Supervisory and Control System - Continuous machine and cross direction control of basis weight, moisture, and color.
24 hour QC coverage - An independent staff of quality control personnel checks paper and roll quality around the clock.
